  1. Heat a cooker, add ghee, rai, jeera and curry leaves. Add chopped carrot and capsicum. Saute for 3 minutes
  2. Add chopped tomatoes and fry for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add washed and drained rice and dal. Stir it for few minutes. Add salt, red chilli powder and turmeric.
  4. Add 4cups water. Close the lid of cooker. Cook till 5whistles. Open and mix well. Serve hot
