- Take 1 cup Suji/Rava/Semolina (coarse)
- Make ready 1/2 cup ghee
- Take 1 cup sugar (Rava:Sugar Ratio: 1: 1)
- Get 3 cups milk
- Get 1/2 tsp cardamom powder/elaichi powder
- Make ready tbsp dry nuts chopped Almonds, cashewnuts, pistachio
Instructions to make Suji/Rava/Semolina Sheera::
- Heat ghee in a pan/kadai. - Add suji/semolina to it and stir it continuously on medium heat.
- Saute suji for about 8-10 minutes. It will start releasing aroma and will change the colour.
- In the meanwhile, while the suji is being roasted boil the milk.
- The suji is now roasted. Now, - add the hot milk to the suji slowly. Stir the mixture continuously till it thickens.
- Now add the sugar to the mixture and mix it.
- Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
- Cover the suji mixture and cook for 5 minutes on low heat.
- Remove the lid and stir the mixture.
- The Suji Sheera is ready. At this stage you can add the chopped dry fruits and mix it.
- Now turn it upside down on a plate and unmould the sheera. Garnish with chopped nuts and serve.
