Tip: To enhance the taste of dhokla spread tadka of. I can only make moong dal tadka when I happen to find an Asian store and buy a bag of moong lentils. I absolutely love the moong dal and this recipe is the only one I've ever cooked with the moong lentils. Moong dal dhokla is especially aromatic and delicious.
Steps to make Moong Dal Dhokla (Green Lentil Dhokla):
- Take a grinder add rice and dal, pepper, ginger, curd.
- Water and grind in smooth batter. Beat it and keep a side for 1 hr.
- Grease the oil, and arrange the steamer. Take small portion of the batter in another bowl add salt and baking soda.
- Mix it well. Pour in greased plate. Sprinkle red chilli powder and cumin seeds.
- Place the plate in heated steamer. Steam it for 15-20 min. Off the gas and let the Dhokla get cool. Cut the pieces and serve with ketchup and mayo. Dhokla can be tempered or can eat just like this
