Healthy Chana Chaat is a snack recipe made with chickpeas, sprouted beans, onion, tomato, green chilies, and lemon juice. Chickpeas are high in fiber and a great source of plant-based proteins. Black chickpeas (Chana) is soaked overnight and is pressure cooked along with water and pinch of salt. The flame should be kept at medium intensity.
Instructions to make Healthy Chana Chat:
- Soak the chana overnight. Pressure cook until tender. Drain the water and keep aside.
- In a mixing bowl combine the dry masalas. Mix well. Keep aside.
- Heat oil in a wok. Add zeera. Let ot splutter. Add garlic & saute on medium flame. Add the finely chopped onions & tomatoes & cook for few minutes. Add the dry masalas, tomato puree, boiled chana & cook until water has evaporated. Add lemon juice, mint coriander leaves.
- Garnish with coarsely chopped onion & tomato wedges.
- Serve hot
