The ingredients needed to make Egg Dalia Pulao:
  1. Take 1 cup Dalia or broken wheat
  2. Get 3 Eggs
  3. Get 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  4. Make ready 1 tbsp Ghee

  6. Take Pinch Turmeric powder
  7. Take Pinch Red chilli powder
  8. Get 1 Onion slices for Beresta medium
  9. Prepare 1 Chopped onion for making small
  10. Make ready 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  11. Make ready 2 Green chillies
  12. Get 7/8 Cashew
  13. Take 7/8 Raisin
  14. Take 1 Bayleaf
  15. Prepare 3 Green cardamom
  16. Get 1 Black cardamom
  17. Prepare 1 Cinnamon stick
  18. Make ready 3/4 Clove
  19. Make ready 2 cups Hot water
  20. Take 1/4 tsp Nutmeg or Jaiphal powder
  21. Get 1/4 tsp Mace or Javitri powder
  22. Get 1 tsp Lime juice
Instructions to make Egg Dalia Pulao:
  1. First dry roast Dalia or broken wheat.. It will take 2 to 3 mins on low heat.
  2. Then boil eggs. It will take 15 mins as we need hard boiled eggs.
  3. Next add oil in a pan. Heat it. Add pinch of Salt, Turmeric powder and Red Chilli powder directly in the oil. Add boiled eggs. Keep stirring for 2 to 3 mins on low heat till eggs turn golden from all the sides.
  4. Next slice a medium sized Onion and add a pinch of salt and sugar, mix them well, rest for 10 mins. Then squeeze the extra water and deep fry them on medium heat till they turn golden and crispy. We need this Beresta for garnishing.
  5. Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and ghee. Add cashew and raisins. Fry them till they turn golden. Keep them aside.
  6. Add bayleaf, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Cinnamon stick and Clove. Keep stirring for 10 seconds. Then add chopped Onion, fry until onions are translucent, add ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes away.
  7. Next add roasted Dalia, stir for 30 to 40 seconds, add salt to taste and slit green chillies. Next add hot water. For Dalia, we need water. Mix everything nicely. Let it boil on high flame. When it starts bubbling, cover and cook for 7 to 8 mins on medium heat.
  8. After 8 mins, remove the lid and mix fried cashews and raisins, fried eggs, little quantity of sugar,(though sugar is optional)nutmeg/ jaiphal powder, Mace or javitri powder and lime juice. Again mix, cover and cook for 2 to 3 mins on low heat.
  9. Now it is ready to be served. Garnish it with Beresta and serve it hot with some fresh salad.
