The ingredients needed to make Matoke:

  2. Take Spring onions
  3. Make ready Ginger

  3. Once the bananas are ready, drain all the water (worry not as the bananas will have enough moisture to help in the mashing)
  4. Start mashing, add some salt if need be, add the fried onions and chopped coriander as you continue mashing till they are well incorporated into the matoke
  5. Once the matoke is well mashed, serve
  6. You can serve the matoke with beef stew and vegetables
