The ingredients needed to make Matoke:
  1. Get 100 g black beans(Njahi)
  2. Take 10 big raw bananas peeled
  3. Take 5 big potatoes peeled
  4. Prepare 1/4 pumpkin
  5. Make ready 1 chopped onion
  6. Prepare 1 diced tomato
  7. Prepare 1 diced green bell pepper
  8. Take to taste Salt
  9. Take Black pepper

Instructions to make Matoke:
  1. In a pan on heat add in sizeable amount of oil,add in your onion cook till golden brown color.
  2. Add in your tomatoes,stir 2-3 min. then add in your clean potatoes
  3. Cover them for 10 minutes to cook,then add in your pumpkin with the green bell pepper stir them to mix and cover it to cook for 20 minutes
  4. Add in your raw bananas stir well cover it for 5 minutes
  5. Add in your black beans,salt to taste and your seasoning i used black pepper,stir and let it cook for 5 minutes as you stir.
  6. Add in some little water for it to cook(level of the water should be slightly below the level of the food)
  7. Cover it to cook
  8. After approx. 20-30 minutes keep checking if the water is no more.
  9. You can now switch of the fire and mash your food.It's ready to be eaten😁
